The aim of this class is to learn about public speaking. We practice with shorter speeches and eventually rise to 8-10 minutes of memorized original oratory. The art of public speaking includes elocution, yes, but also: skills in writing and organization; dexterity in research, interpretation, and audience analysis; familiarity with (digital) media aids; and proficiency in active listening.

This class orients students toward onboarding, file management, digital decorum ("netiquette"), computational and algorithmic thinking, and new media composing. Check out my co-teaching materials here.
